Training Info

IOSA offers free classes in basic and advanced oiled wildlife care each year, where responders learn search & rescue techniques and primary care of oiled birds.  We also offer HAZWOPER training (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response), as required by the Dept. of Fish & Wildlife, for wildlife responders and containment responders.  In addition, we hold on-the-water containment drills several times each year in various areas throughout San Juan County.  Please check the Calendar section for dates of upcoming classes and drills.
